  • children with thalassemia major

Exclusion criteria

  • children with other chronic hemolytic anemias

Primary outcomes

  1. cluster of differentiation (CD4/CD25) ratio

    Time frame: 3 months

  2. cluster of differentiation (CD33/CD11b/Lin) ratio

    Time frame: 3 months

  3. serum immunoglobulins levels

    Time frame: 3 months

  4. serum levels of interferon gamma

    Time frame: 3 months
