About this study

Data collection on bouldering injuries over 10 year period in Major trauma centre in Scotland. Data collected includes - age, sex, injury and necessity for surgery.

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • All patients ≥ 16 years presenting to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with orthopaedic injury following bouldering

Exclusion criteria

  • People <16 years

Primary outcomes

  1. Injury type

    Time frame: 10 years (January 2015 and May 2025)

    Injuries incurred due to bouldering
