Treatment and study plan

metaverse- based education

Other

The nursing process course will be conducted in a metaverse environment. A virtual classroom is designed in the metaverse space for the execution of this course.

Starting from the week following the pre-test application, online training will continue according to the Metaverse-based for a total of 3 weeks, two hours a week, for the intervention group. At the end of the 3 weeks, the Instructional Materials Motivation Scale and Academic Success Assessment (Quiz) will be re-administered as a post-test.

Primary outcomes

  1. Personal Information Form

    Time frame: one week

This form was prepared by the researchers to determine some sociodemographic characteristics of the participating students. The form consists of 6 questions regarding characteristics of the students' such as age, gender, and graduated high school.

  2. The Instructional Materials Motivation Scale

    Time frame: 3 weeks

Investigators uses the five-point Likert scale: "strongly agree," "agree," "neutral," "disagree," and "strongly disagree". The original IMMS consisted of 36 questions and four dimensions (attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction). The Cronbach's α of the overall questionnaire is 0.96 and the Cronbach's α for each of the sub-dimensions ranges between 0.81 and 0.92. A Turkish version of IMMS was constructed from 24-items.

  3. Academic Success Assessment (Quiz)

    Time frame: 3 weeks

It is a 16 multiple-choice exam created by the researcher to measure the success of the students in the Nursing Process course. This exam lasted 18 minutes. Each question is worth 6.25 points.
