Registry (Prospective Cohort) for Heart Failure in Korea (KorAHF)

KorAHF is a multi-center registry (prospective cohort) for acute decompensated heart failure patients in Korea.

The aim of this registry is to analyze several causes affecting prognosis and survival and to develop new strategies for managing acute decompensated heart failure.

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

All consecutive hospitalized adult patients who have 1 and (2 and/or 3)

  • Symptom and/or sign of heart failure
  • Lung congestion
  • Objective finding of LV systolic dysfunction (LVEF), or structural heart disease

Exclusion criteria

  • N.C.

Treatment and study plan

Primary outcomes

  1. Mortality and Re-hospitalization of acute decompensated heart failure

    Time frame: 5 years (tentative)

    • In-hospital mortality
    • Annual mortality
    • Re-hospitalization
