About this study

vaping leads to alot of problems to the respiratrory system and to dertermine the effect accurately,CT and ultrasound chest together with BAL in fit patients will be done

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • 1. Age ≥ 18 years
  • Acute respiratory symptoms (dyspnea, cough, chest discomfort, or hypoxemia.
  • Documented use of E-cigarettes or vaping products within 90 days.
  • Availability of CT chest imaging and chest ultrasound at presentation.
  • BAL performed during the initial diagnostic work-up.

Exclusion criteria

  • 1-Confirmed alternative diagnoses such as cardiac failure, infectious pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, autoimmune disease, or drug-induced lung injury.

2-Refusal of the study

Primary outcomes

  1. Diagnostic yield of radiology plus bronchoscopy in vaping associated lung diseases

    Time frame: one year

    icu admission rate ,length of hospital stay ,mortality rate

Secondary outcomes

  1. mortality

    Time frame: one year

    death versus deterioration of the patients
