Quality of Life Assessment in Patients With Epilepsy Using QOLIE-31

This observational study aims to assess quality of life in individuals with epilepsy using the Quality of Life in Epilepsy Inventory (QOLIE-31). A total of 90 adult patients with a clinical diagnosis of epilepsy will be evaluated through standardized questionnaires administered during routine clinical visits. The study seeks to characterize patient-reported quality of life across multiple domains and to provide insight into factors affecting daily functioning and well-being in people living with epilepsy.

Inclusion criteria

  • Age ≥18 years

Clinical diagnosis of epilepsy confirmed by a neurologist

Ability to complete QOLIE-31 questionnaire

Informed consent provided

Exclusion criteria

  • Severe cognitive impairment

Acute medical or psychiatric condition interfering with participation

Inability to understand questionnaire

Primary outcomes

  1. Quality of life measured by QOLIE-31 total score

    Time frame: At study enrollment

    The Quality of Life in Epilepsy Inventory-31 is a validated epilepsy-specific quality of life scale consisting of 31 items. The total score ranges from 0 to 100. Higher scores indicate better health-related quality of life.
