Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

Eligibility criteria include having a clinical diagnosis of cancer, having received at least one course of outpatient chemotherapy, and being 18 years of age or older.

Exclusion criteria

The criteria for eligibility include having a severe mental disorder that could affect the patient's perception and responses, it being the first day of treatment, and the patient being under 18 years of age.

Primary outcomes

Relationship Between Information Burden, Symptom Management, and Empowerment Levels in Patients Receiving Outpatient Chemotherapy

Time frame: 01.07.2026-01.20.2026

Evaluated via Cancer Patient Empowerment Scale (40 items, 5-point Likert). Subscales: Personal Power, Social Support, Healthcare, Community. Total score: 40-200. Higher scores indicate higher patient empowerment. Measured via Cancer Information Overload Scale (8 items, 4-point Likert). Total score: 8-32. Higher scores indicate higher cognitive burden. Evaluated via Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale (32 symptoms; GDI, Phys, Psych subscales). Total score (average): 0-4. Higher scores reflect higher symptom distress.
