Neuromuscular Ultrasound for Focal Neuropathies

The purpose of this study is to determine if a new diagnostic technique, called neuromuscular ultrasound, can improve our ability to diagnose focal nerve disease.

Who can participate

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • Electrodiagnostic finding of focal nerve disease
  • Age 18 and older

Exclusion criteria

  • Skin lesions preventing ultrasound
  • Known ultrasound gel allergy
  • Unable to complete 6 months of follow-up

Primary outcomes

  1. Overall Neuropathy Sum Score

    Time frame: 6 months

    Neuropathy specific scale
