Genetic basis of musculoskeletal status malocclusions

Inclusion criteria

Patients scheduled to undergo orthognathic surgery to correct their dento-maxillofacial deformity in Prof. Ferri's department and who have either Class II or Class III malocclusion.

Exclusion criteria

Pregnant or breastfeeding women

expression levels of genes involved in regulating the masseter phenotype

Time frame: inclusion time

to correlate the expression levels of genes involved in regulating the masseter phenotype and jaw growth with different groups of malocclusions
