Inclusion criteria

  • Established diagnosis of fibromyalgia, age > 18 years. Exclusion Criteria: cardiac, pulmonary or orthopedic condition that would limit exercise.

Treatment and study plan

strength training

Behavioral

Daily supervised strength training.

Aerobic Exercise

Behavioral

Daily supervised aerobic exercise.

Primary outcomes

  1. Pain severity

    Time frame: Week 3

    Validated measure of clinical pain.

Secondary outcomes

  1. Muscle strength

    Time frame: Week 3

    Assessment of muscle strength using a dynometer.
