About this study

This study is aimed to evaluate the health outcomes of patients enrolled in Joslin's Why WAIT Program. This program aims to control diabetes and help patients lose weight.

Who can participate

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • Patients with Type 2 diabetes with BMI over 35

Exclusion criteria

  • Patients with type 1 diabetes

Treatment and study plan

Primary outcomes

  1. Weight loss of 7% body weight

    Time frame: 13 weeks
