  • Pediatric Patients with thalassemia major.
  • Pediatric Patients with congenital heart disease undergoing surgical repair.

Exclusion criteria

  • known hepatic or renal disease
  • uncontrolled active hemolytic reaction
  • emergency surgery
  • redo surgery
