Inclusion criteria

  • diagnosis of schizophrenia
  • understand nature of study
  • able to be managed in out-patient setting for long-term bifeprunox treatment

Exclusion criteria

  • current primary diagnosis other than schizophrenia
  • suicide risk
  • diagnosis or history of substance abuse
  • uncontrolled hypertension
