Weight Management and Health Outcomes in College Students

The goal of this study is to learn if a weight management program can improve the overall health of college students.

The main questions it aims to answer are:

* Can a weight management program help college students improve their physical health, such as weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar? * Can the program also improve students' daily habits, like eating and exercise, and their emotional well-being? Researchers will compare students who take part in the weight management program with students who do not, to see if the program makes a difference.

Participants in the program will:

* Take part in regular sessions about healthy eating, physical activity, and weight management. * Receive support and guidance from trained staff. * Complete surveys and health checks before and after the program. This study is for college students who want to manage their weight and improve their health. Taking part may help students build healthier habits and feel better. The study will also help researchers understand how to design better health programs for college students in the future.

Treatment and study plan

Weight Management

Other

The intervention is a structured, multicomponent weight management program for college students. It combines health education; dietary guidance focused on regular meals, healthy food choices, and reduced snacking; physical activity promotion to increase daily steps and reduce sedentary time; self-monitoring of BMI, weight, body composition, waist circumference, blood pressure, and metabolic indicators; and behavioral support through goal setting, feedback, and social support. The program is delivered on campus by trained research staff or health educators over the study period. It differs from single-component interventions by integrating dietary, physical activity, self-monitoring, and psychosocial strategies into one program tailored to college students' daily routines.
