About this study

Primary Aim To characterize the demographic and clinical characteristics, etiological spectrum, precipitating factors, management, and short-term outcomes, including length of stay, ICU admission, organ failure, and 30-day rehospitalization, of patients presenting with acute heart failure at Assiut University Heart Hospital

.Secondary Aim To evaluate the prognostic performance of the HEARTRISK6 score by externally validating its ability to predict short-term adverse outcomes, including in-hospital mortality.

Who can participate

Primary outcomes

  1. Clinical Characteristics, Etiology, Short-Term Outcomes, and Performance of Contemporary Risk Stratification Scores in Acute Heart Failure Patients Presenting to Assiut University Heart Hospital.

Time frame: Follow up patients for 30 days

To externally validate the HEARTRISK6 score and evaluate its predictive performance for short-term adverse outcomes in patients with acute heart failure.

    History of moderate/severe valvular heart disease_Yes. 1 Heart rate >100 to ≤120 bpm. 2 >120 bpm. 3 Non-invasive ventilation (NIV)BiPAP/NIV within first hour 2 Creatinine >150 to ≤300 µmol/L 2 >300 µmol/L. 3 Troponin >3-5 × upper reference limit (URL) 1 >5 × URL. 2 Failed reassessment / 3-minute walk test ifFailed1 comp0 High score means worse
