Assessment of Tp-e Interval and QT Dispersion in Patients With Celiac Disease in Children

This is a study at sohag university hospital aim to demonstrate if children with celiac disease have more sensitivity of their myocardium to arrhythmia compared to healthy children.

About this study

This study is a case control aims to :

  • Assess Tp-e interval, Tp e/QTc ratio , Tp-e/QT ratio and QT dispersion in patients with celiac disease attending Sohag University Hospital
  • Compare Tp e interval, Tp e/QT ratio ,Tp e/QTc ratio and and QT dispersion between children with celiac disease and healthy controls.
  • With there parameters demonstrate if children with celiac disease have more sensitivity of their myocardium to arrhythmia compared to healthy children.

Who can participate

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • All children who confirmed diagnosed as celiac disease who visit sohag University Hospital

Exclusion criteria

cardiac disease.

No intervention (observational study)

Primary outcomes

  1. Assessment of Tp-e Interval

    Time frame: 1 year

    Assessment of Tp-e Interval in children diagnosed with celiac disease and compare it with healthy children

Secondary outcomes

  1. Assessment of QT dispersion

    Time frame: 1 year

    Assessment of QT dispersion in children diagnosed with celiac disease and compare it with healthy children
