Real-life Study on the Use of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma

A multicenter, non-interventional, observational, retrospective and prospective pharmacological study aimed at evaluating the use of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

Who can participate

Healthy volunteers accepted: No

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • patients diagnosed with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma according to IMWG criteria who have undergone allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation;
  • Age ≥ 18 years;
  • Signature of the informed consent form (where possible).

Exclusion criteria

  • Patients diagnosed with primary AL amyloidosis, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), indolent multiple myeloma, or primary plasma cell leukemia;
  • Patients who have not undergone allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation;
  • Age < 18 years.

Treatment and study plan

Primary outcomes

  1. Progression-free survival (PFS)

    Time frame: 10 years from the date of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

    Progression-free survival (PFS) of patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

    PFS is defined as time from the date of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation to the date of confirmed disease progression, or the date of death from any cause, whichever comes first.
