Efficacy of Tramadol With Ropivacaine for Modified Pectoral Nerve Block in Breast Cancer Surgery

In this study the investigators will compare the post operative opoid consumption for patient undergoing modified radical mastectomy. The patients will be divided into two groups one group will receive modified pectoral nerve block with local anesthetic ropivacaine combined with tramadol and other group will receive pectoral nerve block with ropivacaine only

Healthy volunteers accepted: Yes

Only the study team can determine whether someone qualifies for participation.

Inclusion criteria

  • Female Patients aged 20-70 years
  • Patients scheduled for elective unilateral modified radical mastectomy
  • Patients with ASAI andII physical status.

Exclusion criteria

  • Patients on anticoagulant therapy.
  • Patients with a BMI≥35 kg/m3.
  • Patients with a history of allergy to local anesthetics.
  • Patients with significant neurological or psychiatric disorders.
  • Pregnant patients.

Treatment and study plan

pectoral nerve block

Procedure

One group will receive ropivacaine with tramadol in modified pectoral nerve block

Primary outcomes

  1. Postoperative Pain with visual analogue scale

    Time frame: 24 hrs postoperatively with visual analogue scale
