Memory Screening test
Other names: Memory screening
Time frame: 90 seconds to 150 seconds (normal less than 100 seconds)
The primary outcome measure on a 50 item Continuous Recognition Task with 25 repeated items, first display of an item is 3 seconds, new image immediately after a response (MemTrax, see: reference), is number of HITs (a memory measure). Less than 20 suggests memory impairment and will trigger referral to a memory study.
Time frame: 90 - 150 seconds (normal - 95 seconds)
Secondary outcome measure is response time to HITs (a measure of memory processing speed), usually 0.550 to 1.5 seconds. Slower than 1.2 seconds suggests a memory, attention, or processing speed problem, will also trigger a referral to the memory study. Note, a third measure, number of Correct Rejections (a measure of executive function), is used to validate the first and second outcome measures. Values below 20 suggest that the other measures might not be valid.
