Inclusion criteria

  • males and females type 2 diabetic patients
  • glycated hemoglobin between > 9%
  • non insulin users
  • physically inactive
  • only metformin and/or sulfonylurea users
  • BMI > 30 kg/m2
  • age of years > 50 y
